We work with the two most widely specified architectural grades:
304 Alloy — The standard architectural specification and the most economical choice for most environments. Grade 304 offers excellent corrosion resistance and is well suited to interior applications and exterior installations that are not subject to chlorine or prolonged salt exposure. It is the go-to specification for the majority of residential and commercial projects.
316 Alloy — Food and marine grade stainless steel, containing molybdenum for significantly enhanced resistance to chlorides, salt and chemicals. Grade 316 is the preferred specification for coastal installations, poolside applications, marine environments and food service or healthcare settings where hygiene and chemical resistance are primary considerations.
Both grades are available in a range of surface finishes to suit different aesthetic requirements:
2B Mill Finish (Cold Rolled) — A dull grey, slightly reflective finish direct from the rolling process. Industrial in character and well suited to applications where a raw, understated aesthetic is desired.
No. 4 Brushed Finish — Mechanically polished to produce a consistent, fine directional grain. The most widely used architectural finish — clean, contemporary and effective at concealing minor surface marks over time.
No. 8 Mirror Finish — Mechanically polished to a bright, non-directional reflective surface. The most striking and premium of the available finishes, delivering a near-perfect reflection that makes a bold design statement in the right application.
Pre-Coloured Stainless – Stainless Steel now comes in an array of fantastic pre-coated colours that give a great Architectural finish and economical option to anodised Aluminium. The sheets can be easily cut and folded and suit a variety of applications including wall and ceiling panels, lift lobbies and other commercial fit outs and kitchen renovations.
Stainless steel is an excellent choice for balustrade infill panels, pool fencing, facade cladding, decorative screens, commercial and hospitality fitouts, and any project where the material itself is intended to be a design feature. It represents a premium investment that pays for itself many times over in longevity and reduced maintenance costs.
