Brass can be supplied and finished in several ways depending on the desired aesthetic. In its natural mill finish state, brass has a bright, warm golden appearance that will gradually develop a darker, more complex patina over time as it oxidises — a process many clients actively welcome for the character and depth it adds. It can also be lacquered to preserve the original finish, or brushed and treated to achieve an aged or antique appearance from the outset.
The precision of our laser cutting process works exceptionally well with brass, producing clean, sharp edges that showcase intricate pattern work to its fullest advantage. It is particularly effective in applications where light interaction is part of the design intent — the warm reflectivity of brass casts a quite different quality of light and shadow compared to steel or aluminium.
Brass is ideally suited to high-end residential interiors, luxury commercial and hospitality fitouts, decorative feature panels, room dividers, reception screens, balustrading and any application where the material specification is intended to signal quality and craftsmanship. It is a statement material — and when it is the right choice, it is incomparable.
