Galvabond is a cold-rolled steel that has been continuously hot-dip galvanised to apply a uniform zinc coating across the entire surface. This zinc layer acts as a sacrificial barrier, protecting the steel beneath from rust and corrosion even where the surface is cut, drilled or formed. The result is a material that is significantly more resistant to moisture, humidity and environmental exposure than uncoated mild steel, without the cost premium of stainless or the aesthetic limitations of Cor-Ten.
